Weddings at Ironclad Inn
Built in 1793, Ironclad Inn is a former Colonial brick private residence set in the heart of historic downtown Fredericksburg, less than two hours from D.C. The House, grounds and open porch provide an ideal venue for a unique and personal wedding.
On the day, you will have the run of the House, with accommodation across 9 bedrooms. The Washington Suite – with its huge bed, accompanying sitting room, fully stocked bourbon bar and fireplace – will be for the wedding couple or bridal party. Book a Champagne reception with bites, followed by your wedding dinner in the Fielding Lewis Ballroom, then drinks, dancing, and a DJ downstairs in our Stable Block Bourbon Tasting Room. Breakfast is included the next morning, as well as event design.
The food
Dinner is served in the Fielding Lewis Ballroom, with its handmade copper ceiling and access to the back lawn. We offer an array of menu options from sharing menus designed to be enjoyed family style to artisanal food stations, or plated dining. Our culinary team carefully curates each menu to be ever-changing in line with the seasons.
